Microfinance · Kakuma & Turkana

Where women rise, communities thrive.

When women are trusted with opportunity, extraordinary change follows. Financial inclusion is not just a tool — it is a lifeline.

In villages and refugee communities across East Africa, a quiet revolution is unfolding. With access to microloans, women are transforming hardship into hope. These small loans ignite big dreams allowing women to start businesses, build assets and discover their own strength.

Microfinance is not charity; it is a catalyst for independence, resilience and lasting change.

Women-led at the grassroots

Village-level loan hubs administered by local women. Capital, training, mentorship all placed in women’s hands.

From $50 upward

Collateral-free, interest-bearing loans starting at just $50. Enough to launch a market stall, a tailoring shop, a farm.

Ripples through families

Profits become food on the table, school fees, healthcare and long-term stability for the next generation.

Reaching where the need is greatest

Turkana County & Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Kakuma sits in a harsh desert landscape where growing crops, tending livestock and even accessing clean water is a daily challenge. The women who live here in one of the world’s most underserved communities hold hope and dreams to create change for themselves and their families.

Here, women turn business profits into opportunity  paying for education, nutrition and healthcare  while strengthening their communities through job creation and advocacy for local improvements.

Partnership rooted in local leadership

Together with Faulu Productions.

Midwife Vision Global is proud to partner with Faulu Productions, a refugee-led non-profit founded inside Kakuma on 30 June 2015 by refugee youths from the DRC, Somalia and Sudan.
